FGMS Announcements Week of 1/8/18

Friday we will have a special Hat Day for the Rust family who live in the FG community. Please bring your dollar, of course additional donations will be accepted, to participate in wearing a hat to help this family.  Thank you for always stepping up and helping to assist a family in our community that has a need.    

Spirit Days in support of our MS Boys Basketball games:  Tuesday against Strafford - Western Day-Wear all the western gear you can find...boots, pearl snap shirt, cowboy/girl hats, bandana overall....no guns allowed; Thursday against Ash Grove Hawaiian Day-Wear all of the beach clothes you can find to school…..sandals, hula skirts, lei necklace, sunglasses, Aloha shirts…..school appropriate - no swimsuits allowed.  

Any 7th or 8th grade student who wants to participate in the Color Guard Clinic January 16th-23rd needs to have their money and registration form turned in to Mrs. Harmon by Jan. 9.

There will be no Honor Choir until February 6.

Bel Canto will be meeting on Wednesday, January 10th to discuss the SDC opportunity. Please have the interest form turned into Mrs. Harmon by that date.

The next Lunch Bunch Book Club Meeting will be January 18th.

REMINDER:  Yearbook order forms are still available in the office.  The cost during 2nd semester will now be $45.  Any yearbook purchased after the school year is over will cost $50.  

Parents and Students:

  • Lunch Balance:  Please remember to keep your student's lunch balance current.  Courtesy notification letters are sent home at a $10 deficit. Tracking delinquent lunch balances costs the district time and money, so paying on time or ahead of time for meals is appreciated.  Cash must be paid for all 2nd lunch trays and extras.

  • Student ID’s:  $3 replacement; Lanyard: $2.  Lanyards and ID’s must be worn around your neck.  All id’s need to be ordered before the end of 1st hour.  Please remember to place your lanyard and id in your locker at the end of the day.

  • PDA:  Please remember that NO PDA of any sort is allowed in the MS including holding hands or hugging.  Please keep your hands to yourself at all times.  This includes going to the buses.

  • Dress Code:   NO short shorts, short skirts, short tops, spaghetti straps, and NO holes above the knees in your pants/shorts.  Please try and stay in compliance with our dress code.

  • Skateboards and Heelies:  (shoes with wheels in them) will not be allowed at school.  You may wear Heelies only if you remove the wheels from your shoes.

  • Electronic Devices:  Cell phone and other electronic devices such as Ipods and MP3 Players must be turned off and put away during the instructional day.  Cell phones and other electronic devices will be confiscated and turned in to the office if they are seen.

  • Lockers:  Students, please remember that you are not allowed to have food/drinks in your locker.  The only exception would be your lunch which should be in a sealed container.

  • Sportsmanship:  Students please be reminded that good sportsmanship is expected during all extra curricular activities.

  • Backpacks will no longer be allowed in your classroom.  Please make sure your bags are in your locker not of the floor sitting outside your locker.

  • MS Students are not allowed to get a breakfast or lunch in a TO GO container.

  • Students please do not spray cologne/perfume in the hallways as some people are very allergic.

  • No blankets are allowed at school.
