Dear Parent or Guardian,
Parent-teacher conferences are just around the corner. I would like to take the opportunity to let you know that we will once again utilize an open house format at the High School for parent-teacher conferences. Parents do not need to schedule a conference with their child’s teachers but rather may arrive at the time that is most convenient for them to visit. Parent-teacher conferences will be conducted on October 23rd and 25th between the hours of 4:00pm-7:00pm. Please be advised that some teachers will be unavailable due to extra-curricular commitments.
This is what you can expect on the night that you attend:
1. Arrive at Fair Grove High School and check in at the office.
2. The office staff will provide you with a copy of your child’s grade report and a building map if needed.
3. After reviewing the grade card with your child you may circulate the building stepping into each of your child’s classes to discuss his or her progress in that respective class.
4. We ask that you be respectful of other parents and limit your conferences to 5-7 minutes with each teacher. If you desire a longer conference please sign the conference sheet outside your teacher’s classroom and we will schedule a full conference with you at a later time.
5. There will be chairs placed outside of each classroom. If the teacher you are waiting for is speaking with another parent or the door is closed please wait patiently outside the classroom.
6. After you have visited with all of your child’s teachers you may leave. The principal and counselor will be available if you require our assistance or input on anything concerning your child’s progress here at Fair Grove High School.
