Operation Shoebox

Dear Fair Grove Families,

It is that time again…time for the 2018 Shoebox for Soldiers Campaign! We are excited to start this Citizenship project! When we began this project, we had no idea how big it would turn out. Last year, we mailed more than 40 boxes to our soldiers! This is a wonderful opportunity to show our service members how much we, as a community, appreciate their service.

This year, we will be partnering with John Kimmons from 105.1 The Bull! He will  pick up and deliver the boxes through the Shoebox for Soldiers Collection Drive. In our filled boxes will be a burned copy of our students saying the Pledge of Allegiance. We will work together to raise the funds to ship our boxes. It will be a wonderful partnership!

All classes have been encouraged to fill at least one box. We are filling Priority Mailboxes (not actual shoeboxes). CLICK HERE for a list of acceptable and recommended items to include in the boxes. We like to send a variety of items, so be creative! If you are interested in sending a box to a specific service member, please collect the APO/FPO address of the soldier. You will receive assistance in filling out all of the customs paperwork that is needed to ship the package. The Bull 105.1 will take on the task of mailing all of the boxes. The cost to ship each box is $15.00. We will be hosting a camo day in November to help raise money for shipping. Look for more information on that to come. Some may choose to donate money for shipping in addition to or in place of items.  That is perfectly acceptable! The deadline for items is the morning of November 30.

We look forward to shipping MANY MORE boxes this year!!

Thank You for Your Support!!
