Free Physicals for Incoming 7th–12th Grade Students – May 29th 8am-5pm Dear Fair Grove Families, We are pleased to announce that Fair Grove Schools will be offering FREE physicals provided by Mercy for all incoming 7th–12th grade students on Thursday, May 29th, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a convenient opportunity for students participating in athletics or activities governed by MSHSAA to complete their required physicals before the upcoming school year. Important Reminder: Students must bring a completed MSHSAA Pre-Participation Physical Form with them to the appointment. This form must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian prior to the physical. The form is available on the MSHSAA website or can be opened with the provided attachment. Important Procedure Update: Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, Fair Grove Schools will now require an annual physical for all student-athletes, rather than the current MSHSAA requirement of one every two years. This change reflects our district’s commitment to the safety, health, and overall well-being of our students. We believe that an annual physical provides a more accurate and timely picture of a student’s health and readiness for participation in school activities. We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of the free physical clinic on May 29th. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office or athletic department. Sincerely, Damon Seiger, Athletic Director Fair Grove Schools https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ak1_nC0S8D7xnq_RMQhZMnf37CJ1g9VA/view?usp=sharing

The tornadic weather we experienced this week provided an important opportunity to reevaluate our sheltering procedures and policies for the FEMA building. We are incredibly grateful to have this facility on our campus and are committed to making it available to our community when needed. We want to ensure the community is aware of the procedures for using the FEMA shelter during the school day. Clear communication and understanding will help us keep everyone safe. Our students' safety is always our priority. Please share this with any of your family or friends who may not be on social media or the school's contact list.

Last night, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our second cohort of teachers who have completed their master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through our partnership with Evangel University. Our students will benefit greatly from the knowledge and skills these educators have gained through their commitment to continuous improvement. They prove to our students that hard work and perseverance lead to meaningful growth and achievement. We also celebrate Dr. Samantha Orr, Middle School Assistant Principal (2025–2026), for completing her doctoral degree. What an incredible achievement that reflects her dedication to leadership and lifelong learning. Congratulations, Graduates!! Fair Grove Municipal Election Set for April 8: High School Marketing Class Partners with City Council to Educate Public on Bond Initiative The City of Fair Grove will hold its Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with polls open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Fair Grove United Methodist Church. Among the items on the ballot is a General Obligation Bond Improvements question that has become the focus of an innovative partnership between the Fair Grove High School marketing class and the City Council. In an effort to raise awareness and understanding of the ballot initiative, the marketing students worked alongside city leaders to develop a public information campaign. They created a social media advertisements, a digital billboard, and in-home mailers. The ballot question seeks voter approval to extend the existing tax levy—not raise it—to fund critical infrastructure improvements. If passed, the bond will provide the necessary funding to upgrade the city's wastewater treatment process and stormwater culverts, improving efficiency, reliability, and overall service to residents. In addition, the bond would pave the way for future community projects focused on pedestrian safety, such as widened lanes and improved sidewalks throughout the city. Fair Grove Alderman Kelly Petty praised the students’ involvement, stating: “I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Fair Grove High School marketing class and Cayse Overstreet for their outstanding efforts in partnering with the City of Fair Grove to develop a marketing campaign for the upcoming ballot question regarding a general obligation bond for our wastewater system and stormwater management. The students have been incredible throughout this project. Their engagement and investment have been truly inspiring. It has been phenomenal to witness the school's willingness to partner with us. One of my favorite moments was seeing the students' excitement for a project that directly impacts them and their community. When I joined the Board of Aldermen, my main goal was to foster engagement between the community and the city. It has been an honor to achieve this with the help of these dedicated students. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to making a positive difference in our community!” Voters are encouraged to participate in this important local election and consider the long-term benefits of the bond for Fair Grove’s infrastructure and quality of life. Again, voting will take place on Tuesday, April 8, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Fair Grove United Methodist Church. For more information, please visit the City of Fair Grove’s website, contact City Hall, or marketing teacher Cayse Overstreet. Cell: 314-413-6915 Email: overstreetca@fgsmail.org
